Stephanie Arévalo is a Senior Associate at Consortium Legal – Guatemala with more than 9 years of professional experience. She currently leads the Global Intellectual Property Solutions Department, an area designed to provide clients with strategic and centralized management of their portfolios across multiple jurisdictions. From this department, Stephanie drives comprehensive solutions that encompass the protection, enforcement, and maximization of intangible assets across various branches of Intellectual Property.

Her practice also includes negotiations, cease-and-desist actions, and the issuance of legal opinions on Intellectual Property matters. She has solid experience in drafting and reviewing contracts related to new technologies and creative industries.

Stephanie has extensive experience advising multinational clients on the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights in Central America and other regions, including Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

In the academic field, she serves as Director of the Intellectual Property Thesis Seminar at Universidad Francisco Marroquín and has also taught as an assistant professor in various courses. In addition, she actively participates as a coach in international Intellectual Property moot court competitions.

Before joining the firm, Stephanie was actively involved in the defense of Human Rights, collaborating in Guatemala through the Office of the Attorney General and internationally through activities at the United Nations (UN) in New York and Switzerland.
