María Alejandra is a Partner at Consortium Legal – El Salvador, where she leads the firm’s practice in foreign investment, international trade, and regulated sectors. She has more than 20 years of experience in public and private international law, corporate law, and advising on international public tenders for both domestic and foreign companies.

She currently leads a multidisciplinary team and advises extensively on corporate law, infrastructure projects, energy, natural resources, aviation, and new technologies. Her practice is focused on strategically guiding local and international companies in public tenders, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), concession contracts, and cross-border commercial negotiations.

Internationally, she has served in diplomatic roles as Legal Counsel and Chargé d’Affaires for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama to the Government of the United States of America. She has also been a consultant for the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

María Alejandra actively participates in the firm’s pro-bono program, providing free legal advice on family law, domestic violence, labor law, immigration, litigation, and NGO incorporation.
