Gonzalo Manzano

Gonzalo is an associate at Consortium Legal - El Salvador. With more than 14 years of experience and legal knowledge in various matters of corporate and tax law. He has participated in the management of several real estate transactions, due diligence of real estate projects, real estate and corporate title studies for banks and financial institutions, and in the analysis of construction and urban planning regulations. He has experience in management control of legal and multidisciplinary teams, and in advising on corporate structuring and tax optimization of businesses both inside and outside the country.

Gonzalo has advised companies with international presence, dealing with matters related to the OECD strategies to avoid Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS).

  • Gonzalo was in charge of analyzing and advising one of the investors of Integra-Chile, an agricultural holding company, in the restructuring of the tax debt and subsequent share sale in Integra-Chile and its subsidiaries, bringing to zero the final tax impact of his client, regarding the tax debt of the company.
  • He was responsible for the elimination of the Delayed Operations list (300+) in the Mortgage Department of Banco Santander-Chile, which had operations pending completion of more than 1 year old. This allowed Reval Escrituras S.A. to become the Bank’s main provider of mortgage legal services.
