Felipe is a Partner at Consortium Legal – El Salvador with over 19 years of experience in banking and finance, corporate law, foreign investment, and mergers and acquisitions.

He has played a key role in major local and regional transactions, advising on financing structures, M&A processes, competition matters, and regulated sectors. His recent experience includes the acquisition of Banco Scotiabank’s operations in El Salvador by Banco Cuscatlán, the purchase of AIG El Salvador by ASSA Compañía de Seguros, and the Credit Suisse credit facility to Imperia Intercontinental INC for the acquisition of Citibank El Salvador.

He also advised Finca Microfinanzas El Salvador on the sale of its operations to Óptima Servicios Financieros. Currently, Felipe is actively involved in complex banking and project finance transactions alongside Partner Óscar Samour.

  • Advised Banco G&T Continental and Banco Agromercantil de Guatemala on an US$85.5 million financing to VENTUS, S.A. de C.V. for the construction of El Salvador’s first wind farm.
