Alfredo is a Founding Partner at Consortium Legal – Guatemala with 45 years of professional experience advising clients across the food and beverage, financial services, real estate, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and startup sectors. His practice focuses on tax and corporate law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, financial transactions, inbound foreign investment, and outbound Guatemalan investment.

He also advises individuals and family groups on estate and succession planning, designing legal and tax strategies to ensure wealth protection and smooth generational transitions.

In academia, Alfredo has been a Tax Law professor at Universidad Francisco Marroquín for over 25 years at the undergraduate level and continues to teach at the master’s level. He is a founding member and the first president of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), Guatemala chapter, and an active member of various national and international tax associations.
