Consortium Legal, the largest law firm in Central America continues to drive its strategy of growth and excellence in client service by announcing the appointment of Maria Fernanda Morales as Practice Partner in its Guatemala office. This promotion marks a milestone in Maria Fernanda’s professional development, and consolidates the firm’s commitment to provide the highest standard of quality legal advice to its clients.
Since joining Consortium Legal in 2008 as an attorney Maria Fernanda has demonstrated a high commitment to ethics and excellence in client service. Throughout her 15 year career at the firm, she has gradually ascended in responsibilities, serving as a Legal Assistant in the Notarial area in 2010, Associate in the Corporate Law area in 2012 and being promoted to Senior Associate in 2017. Her dedication and outstanding leadership have made her worthy of this new position as Practice Partner, contributing significantly to the personal and professional development of Consortium Legal’s collaborators.
Alvaro Castellanos, President of Consortium Legal, said: “Maria Fernanda is recognised, both nationally and internationally, as a passionate legal professional, who personifies what we call “client service”. Or, rather, she embodies the client centric culture, aligned with the regional strategic vision of our Firm. Mafer, as everyone so affectionately calls her, not only personifies professional ability and responsibility, but, above all, empathetic and ethical work at the service of her clients. When I am reminded of Angel Ossorio’s commandments in his Decalogue of the Lawyer, Mafer embodies principles such as “do not accept a conviction you do not have” and “always think that you are for the client and not the client for you.It is a privilege for Consortium that Mafer has decided to make her professional career with us. And it will continue to grow.
Rafael Alvarado, corporate lead partner, added: “I have had the pleasure and great honour of working with Mafer over the past few years, who accepted the tremendous challenge of taking over the firm’s corporate department in Guatemala. Mafer has shown tremendous commitment and passion for her work and dedication and focus to achieve the objectives and goals we have set for ourselves, culminating now in her well-deserved appointment as Practice Partner. I can only congratulate Mafer and thank her for all her support and dedication to the firm.”
Consortium Legal – Guatemala is proud of this appointment and reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting the professional and personal development of its collaborators. This achievement reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional quality legal services and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of its clients in the region.
